THE DAVINCI CODE:A film maker would have a challenge in adapting the police chase scene. This is the part when the police track down Sophie and Landgon and try to stop them from reaching the embassy. TThis is challenging because the scenes keep changing very quickly.
3 Scenes that must be in the movie are:
The currator'sdeath and message that says to find Landgon as it adds to the suspenseful theme in the novel. For example, the police were planning to arrest Landgon, but he didn't know this until Sophie came into play. Without the currator dying, there would be no story.
The soap scene- When Sophie sticks the tracking device on to the soap and puts it in the trash can and throws it at the truck. This should be in the movie as there would be a lot of humor when the police find the soap.
When they are at the bank, the police get them surrounded. They sneak into the truck trailer of Sophie's grandpa's friend and they move out. This evokes a lot of suspense when the police get them surrounded as they try to escape. But they manage to escape.
2 specific points to cut:
1. I will cut out the scene when Langdon explains the secret society to sophie because there would be no way to show that on the screen.
2. I will cut out the flashback scene when Sophie was 8 years old as it is not important to the book in any way.
