My idea is to put a
limited edition letter that Christopher's mom wrote to him in the book as it's
one of the most pivotal moments in the book. This will attract more
and more people to read the book and help the Publishing Industry. This
would attract more and more people because it’s a collectable.
This is an important
part in the book because he gets the idea to go and live with his mom after his
dad lied that his mom had died. This is also the part when he goes in the
subway and trains, and he tries to escape the policemen who try
to bring him back to his dad. The fans would love the letter idea as it is a
souvenir collectible and as Christopher uses it to go find his mom. One
letter in the Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night Time said,
“When you are small you wouldn't let anybody put their hand in your
mouth, so that the dentist can take one of your teeth out “. Christopher saw
that the date on the letter was 23rd August of the same year. Therefore,
he thought that the letter was written very recently. Therefore, he knew that
his mom was still alive. This is how he came to know that his father had
lied to him. His father caught him reading a letter that his mother wrote. In
the book, the Curious Incident Of The Dog
In The Night Time, his father said, “I did it for your own good….. and I said
that she was in the hospital….I knew it was a lie…..she actually ran away….. I didn't
know how to explain it to you at that time.” His father became very
emotional when he found Christopher having the letters that his mom wrote him.
His dad did not want him to read those letters until he was a older person.
When Christopher realized that his father had lied to him he goes to school but
his dad had parked his car at the school. In the book “The Curious
Incident of the dog in the Night-time” says, “I couldn't go to
school because when I got to school I saw that father’s van was parked outside
in the car park. I knew it was his van because it said ED BOONE Heating
Maintenance and boiler repair on the side. He went to the train station to
ride a train to his mother’s residence.”. This shows Christopher’s ambitions in
going away from his dad’s home. If his mom had not written him the letters, he
would not have known where to go. He also would not have known that his dad
lied to him. Therefore, this is a key event in the book.
I think this idea will work because the letter contributes to the plot in many
ways. If the letter did not exist then Christopher could not have gone to his
mom’s residence. This is very important too because he would not have known the
truth what had happened to his mother. So the letters will bring together an
innumerable amount of fans. It would be favored because the letter is the heart
of the mystery and it would be solved very quickly and people will enjoy having
the physical letter in their hand when reading a book as it brings together the
truth in paper. The idea will help broaden the audience for the book by
making it more interactive and it also adds a sense of pizzazz to the writing.
The idea allows and encourages people who are already fans of the book to
better understand the mystery in the novel. This will also help them to get a
better sense of the plot and they can also understand why his dad didn’t want
him to read the letter.
